Earlier this week, I was reading an article online about bending and lifting from the floor. Repeatedly throughout the article, the author referred to the old adage: "Bend at the knees, not at the back". I thought about this for a while and realized I have three issues with this statement and feel that it is a bit outdated. It might be time for us to update this saying as "Bend at the hips, not at the back". Thoughts, opinions? I'd love to hear them. Leave them in the comments below.
